Potato Croquettes

Hari ni lega sket, lepas semalam satu hari berhempas pulas n reached home at almost 11.30pm. Sejak kes rotavirus kat paper Sabtu dulu, alhamdullilah berjaya jugak convincedkan Malik untuk bawak bekal gi sekolah. Psycho dia sket, I asked him to read the news & told him 2 budak tu mati sebab makan makanan yg dah ada virus i.e food yg tak clean. Sejak hari Isnin hari-hari dia dah start bawak bekal macam Caca n Iman jugak, Tapi pening jugak coz dia tak makan apa yg Umi cooked for us for breakfast mcm mee,bihun kwey teow etc,,,So every morning mesti at least ada 2 menu. One for Caca n Iman & one more for Malik, Kadang 3 jenis pun ada untuk papa jugak.Semalam on d way balik malam2 buta tu dah buntu apa nk masak pagi ni coz I dun think larat nak bangun awal pagi buat breakfast utk they all. So decided to ask Umi to goreng maggi mee since itu yg 3 org budak tu semua suka. Selamat.Malik sampai makan bertambah2 till tertinggal van, at the end mama rush jugak pagi ni hantar Caca tu SKPU2, then Iman last skali Malik nasib sempat sampai office on time.

Malam ni mama buatkan Malik potato croquette utk bekal esok, Very d easy. Boiled n mashed potato mcm buat pergedil la...letak garam, lada sulah tapi taruk inti cheese kat tengah macam cucur badak. Esok pagi celup ngan telur n breadcrumb (toast roti n blend smpai halus) n goreng. Yummyy kena dgn selera mat salleh Malik. Iman tak suka breadcrumb so dah beli swiss roll utk bekal dia esok. Caca apa2 pun ok...tapi roti telur, nasi tu fevret dia la....

Walaupun penat,but I have peace of mind, diorang tak makan benda yg merepek2 kat skolah....kita cuma usaha yg selebihnya berserah pada Allah....moga dilindungi selalu..

Birthay Iman Kali ke3

Lamanya tak update blog ni..sejak 2009 ...Menyambut cabaran Atikah Haron yg kata tak tau la bila nyah punya blog nak naik plg atas...nah dah naik atas pun dan to both twinz jgn sedih2 lg kuatkan azam utk jadi top blogger yg jadi best student, mcm H*nis tuh....
Citer birthday Iman kali ke3 kat skolah last week.Anak bongsu aku ni mmg demanding orgnyer & he likes to show off unlike the brother. So sblm discuss ngan mama awal2 lg dia dah arrange dgn teacher dia, apa nak bawak, so nak tak nak terpaksalah buat apa yg dah dia janjikan ngan teacher N*rul. Nak kek gambar Ben 10, party pack yg ada air kotak,biskut raya & spaghetti.Mama nego ngan Iman boleh tak mama masak bihun instead of spaghetti coz mama ni org kampung yg tak expert nak masak Itali ni hu..hu..Dia tak nak, coz dah janji ngan teacher nak bawak spaghetti jugak.
So terpaksalah 8hb tu kelam kabut cari segala benda,kek,party pack & yg plg mencabar lepas raya ni takde udang kat Giant & carefour.Nak buat bolognese tak kuasa le pepagi buta nak masak yg sgt mencabar tu. Pusing2 jumpa udang kat Hero,selamat & I decided to cook seafood Olio. Bila everything dah ready utk birthday dia, suddenly he asked,
Mama blh tak buat lg satu party,tapi nak yg kak tikah & kak pidah dtg..hu..hu.. demand betul anak aku nih...

Our 10th Anniversary

Last Saturday bersamaan 5 September 2009, it was our 10th anniversary. Nothing much to say except for syukur alhamdulillah & hopefully our marriage will lasts forever hingga ke akhir hayat, Amin..

Cuma on that day, both of us terkenangkan arwah mak yg tak sempat nak celebrate our happiness together. The initial plan was to do "anniversary celebration" with the kenduri & etc. Tapi during Ramadan & mak baru je pergi meniggalkan kita buat selama2nya, so I was not really in a mood to organize anything except for our time together from noon till mid night.

Started the day with Matta Fair- Papa berniat to bring me out from Asian country latest when our marriage reached 10 years. Pusing2 & survey2 he ended up with the tour package for both of us to to London & Paris 6D5N.Managed to get a good deal but caused a lot of damaged to him also la..he.he.Now I only need to think about my kids when we are on our "honeymoon".

Next-went to KLCC , plan awalnya nak pegi Victoria Station kat Damansara coz banyak kenangannya VS nih, sesat punya pasal terus gi KLCC & we reached there almost 6 but all fully book. Lucky Aseana accepted us with the little table at the corner. Not much variety but sufficient for small eater like both of us

The most important is the quality of time that we can spend together. Considering 10 years,quite a matured numbers, quantity become no 2. With both of us staying apart, nothing much to expect except for loves, cares & the most important at this age is TRUSTWOTHY! I pray hard to Allah semoga our marriage berakhir hingga ke akhir hayat & to papa, TQ very much for being part of my life for 10 wonderful years.

Public Holiday Update

Last Saturday was Agong Birthay i.e PH ! Hospital staff like me, so grateful when PH falls on Saturday, payah nak dpt cuti bersambung. It's a school holiday as well + papa was on a a week break for Gawai, however we didn't plan for any cuti2 Malaysia as I dont feel safe to travel at this point of time (H1N1 la, meningitis outbreak la, etc..). So an alternative (safe+save he.. he) we went to Alamanda Putrajaya to let the kids have funsss with whatever activities they want. Caca le yang lead selalunya. Makan2, jalan 2, then Caca decided to watch Hannah Montana the Movie .She watched Monster Vs Alien on 1st day of school break, ari ni nak tengok Miley Cyrus pulak. Layan je la.....

Caca awal2 dah bawak jacket as she knows it can be pretty cold in a movie hall. Bought 3 tickets for bibik, Caca & Malik. Iman FOC tak yah seat. So Mama boleh window shopping while the kids enjoy the movie....

Papa pesan kat bibik, kalau tak paham baca sarikata Bik! (laki aku ni lupa agaknya Bibik Ya tau baca 1,2, 3 je he..he..)

Penat cuci mata kat Parkson sale, lepak kat our fav. "dating" spot to kill the 2 hours. Tempat wajib kalau pegi Alamanda. So cosy, facing the lake lagi!

Bestnya mama & papa dapat enjoy our drinks without hingar bingar. Kalau tak, straw tah kemana, gula bertabur, itu la Caca+Malik+Iman

Caca: Best betul la mama! (of course she is a big fan of Miley Cyrus)

Bibik: Seronok cite omputih kat dalam tu Ma ( ish paham jugak bibik aku ni, but I think she enjoyed the caramel popcorn + coke more! Kelas gitu bibik gi tengok movie kat GSC, dapat newly open hall lagi)

Iman: Best! best (at the same time non- stop describing what he saw inside. But according tu bibik dia ketawa2 @ the beginning of the movie then zzz.... till the end, syok la tu, sejuk)

Malik: Muka monyok keluar, Mama Malik tak suka Ana Montana, Malik tengok Ultraman Max je! ish budak ni..

Sukan Malik (SKPU 3)

Hari ni sukan sekolah Malik. Ni actually first time attend sukan coz sekolah Caca tak ada sports day utk Tahun 1-3. Excited, even I am not into sport masa sekolah2 dulu somehow or rather I enjoyed watching sport very much, May be ni trained kat Bainun dulu, ptg2 mesti turun sukan, we all yg kaki bangku ni jadi spectator la selalunya..he..hee duduk kat tepi tebing tu tengok budak laki main bola..ha..hah. Best sukan Malik. Well organised utk tahap primary school.

Adli's Wedding 9/5/2009

Hari ni sebenarnya genap 90 hari (3 bulan) arwah mak pergi buat selama-lamanya. Tarikh ni jugaklah berlangsungnya majlis resepsi Adli anak kedua Nyah Montak cousin sebelah arwah mak. Bila bercakap tentang majlis kenduri kahwin ni, dah semestinya ocassion untuk saudara mara berkumpul. Macam2 rasanya sebelum attend majlis ni, I am a bit melancholic hari ni. Pertama sebab hari ni genap 3 bulan arwah mak meninggalkan kitorang, kedua majlis tu diadakan bersebelahan dengan Masjid Saidina Umar Al-Khatab, Bukit Damansara dimana arwah mak dikafankan & disembahyangkan buat kali terakhir..& kenduri ni dah tentu semua saudara mara sebelah arwah mak ada, definitely segala memori bersama arwah akan dikenang semula. And I am not wrong, segala macam perasaan bercampur baur kat majlis tu, gembira sebab dapat jumpa saudara mara especially maknyah & makwe, at least terubat rasa rindu pada arwah mak bila dapat jumpa maknyah & makwe. Kedua kitorang glamour sikit malam tu, sebab selama ni kalau mak ada dah tentu saudara mara jauh & kawan2 lama mak yang tak berapa nak kenal don't really care about us, tapi hari tu a few peoples yg first time we all kenal introduced each other, nilah.. anak Pidah...ha..ha...Ketiga selain pengantin dapat banyak ucapan tahniah, we all & bapak banyak dapat ucapan takziah daripada saudara mara jauh yg tak dapat datang pada hari tu dulu termasuk abang H*di yang tak sempat jumpa mak buat kali terakhir.... Oklah, life goes on, tengok jelah gambo2 ni:

The idea of starting this blog came after my beloved mum passed away in Feb 2009. Everyone that knows arwah, should have known the fact she was great in the kitchen & I would say that she was a "professional cook". You just named it, right from ikan pekasam to scrumptious chicken chop,lempok doyan to a beautiful sugar paste cake,all arwah mak got no problem with.

Unfortunately none of her daughters (as what my hubby used to comment) really achieved up to her standard.Tapi nasib baik jugaklah we've got bits & pcs of her skills (kalau tak semua pun).

Bapak is still lucky kalau nak makan lauk2 sedap sikit suruh Bah & Cuma masak (he's staying with them), rase nak makan laksa kena pegi rumah Yong, nak makan pulut jagung kena angkut pulut & jagung to Puchong (he..he..) lastly kalau nak yg sofistikated sikit macam rendang lambuk ke, got to wait sampai balik kampung , Kak Semah masak! Kalau arwah mak ada semua order je & ready to be served..

When she's no longer with us, we really feel the lost.. As a mom & wife I feel that one should know to cook everything to feed your loves one, macam arwah mak. Hence, I will try to better my skill by following the recipes (esp yg arwah mak simpan) & share the outcomes with you all .

As the address of this blog suggest, most posting will be about foods & bits of other things.
